From a Broken Heart to an Unbreakable Bond
Bonjour, Script-Breakers!
The Revel Belle here with a scorching update on the love story of Lana F. and Andre A.
If you thought the airport farewell was a tearjerker, you haven't seen anything yet.
As you know, after two months of agonizing separation, Andre is finally back, and Lana is ready to confess everything.
But as she sits on his couch, heart pounding with hope, he drops a bombshell that sends her world, and the beer she's drinking, crashing down.
"I’ve decided to marry the woman I love."
Oh. My. God.
Lana's heart shatters, and she's left reeling.
She's so close to losing it, to having a full-blown meltdown on his couch, but she manages to keep it together.
All she can think about is her humiliation, the fact that she almost confessed her love to a man who is madly in love with someone else.
"I'm so glad I didn't say anything," she repeats to herself, the relief washing over her, distracting some of her heartbreak.
"It's better this way. I'll keep my feelings to myself. I'll cherish our friendship and be grateful for what we have."
But even as she's trying to process her grief, Andre is still in the kitchen, casually chatting with the woman he's about to marry.
The whole night is a trainwreck, and Lana just wants to leave, to escape to her car and cry in peace.
She's about to make a break for it when Andre returns, trays of pizza and beer in hand.
The warmth of his presence, the comfort of their routine, is both a blessing and a curse.
They settle in to watch a movie, and for a blissful ninety minutes, everything feels normal.
Lana's head finds its way to his thigh, his fingers idly stroking her arm, and all her heartache seems to melt away.
But the moment the credits roll, the harsh reality comes crashing back.
Lana is suddenly hyper-aware of their intimacy, of the fact that this kind of closeness is no longer appropriate.
She forces herself to sit up, a decision that feels like a physical pain.
"Dre, we can’t be like this anymore."
Her words echo ominously in the darkened living room, bringing with them a chill.
Dre's body tenses beside her, his voice strained with confusion and hurt. "What did you just say?"
Lana, feeling a flicker of defiance, explains that things have changed. "You're in love with someone else, planning marriage," she says. "This obviously changes things, no?"
But Dre only stares at her, a look of bewilderment on his face.
"I think there is a misunderstanding, Lana," he says, his words halting her frantic pacing. "I said what I said because I don't want us to be just friends anymore."
Lana is stunned. "What?" she croaks.
"Why?" Is she really losing her best friend to another woman?
She feels murderous, a mix of heartbreak and rage brewing in her stomach.
"I didn't know I was this disposable to you, but wow, thank God I know now!" she lashes out, grabbing her bag and marching towards the door.
But just as her hand is inches from the doorknob, he's there, his strong hand curled around her wrist. "Where do you think you're going?" he growls.
Lana's breath hitches in her throat, trapped between the warmth of his body and the cold of the door.
She can feel his heart pounding, a rhythm that both excites and terrifies her.
Just moments ago, he had declared their friendship over, and now he was holding her like this?
The man who had just broken her heart was trying to comfort her as a storm raged outside.
She tries to pull away, but he holds firm. "You can't go out there, it's raining," he murmurs, his voice a low rumble.
The thunder roars, shaking the house, and Lana's resolve crumbles.
She clings to him, seeking refuge in the one person she had always thought of as her sanctuary.
But as he holds her, she's plunged back into the harsh reality of her unrequited love.
The storm outside mirrors the chaos within her heart.
She can't stay here, not like this.
She struggles against him, her anger fueling her fight. "Let me go! I need to leave!" she yells, the crack in her voice betraying her desperation.
But Dre only grins, a devilish glint in his eyes. He hoists her over his shoulder, ignoring her protests as he ascends the stairs.
"You're staying here tonight," he declares, his voice brooking no argument. "And that's final."
One thing is for sure: this story is a chaotic cocktail of a broken heart, a whole lot of steam, and a huge choice to make.
Will Lana fight for her man, or will she give up on their friendship forever?
And what is this "misunderstanding" that has both of their hearts in turmoil?
You know you want to know if this best-friend fairytale gets a happily ever after.
