From Best Friend to Bride... or Just a Bridesmaid?

The first icy tendrils of fear and anxiety began unspooling within her lower gut, licking at her heart and ringing all kinds of alarms in her mind.

 She barely managed to ask, "Is this the 'exciting news' you said you wanted to tell me in person?"

Dre nodded, and with a look that seemed to stare straight into her soul, he delivered the final blow.

"I’ve decided to marry the woman I love."

The cold sip Lana had just taken as if also shocked by his declaration slipped down the wrong path, burning her throat and immediately choking her. 

What the f*** did he just say?

Our dear Lana is absolutely devastated. 

She's just come to terms with the feelings she's been hiding, only to have her heart shattered. Can she be happy for her best friend? 

Or will her pain be too much to bear? 

And what's this we hear about Lana finding herself trapped in Dre's arms, being taken to his bed?

 Is this a misunderstanding?

 A last desperate attempt to escape that failed spectacularly? 

Or is something far more steamy and angsty about to be revealed?

One thing is for sure: this story is a chaotic cocktail of a broken heart, a whole lot of steam, and a huge choice to make.
