A young, energetic boy and an old, ornery goat are constantly at odds in Ashlee Cox’s thrilling summer read, The Chase.

Speedo and Chaser’s first meeting led to a huge misunderstanding, and tensions between the two continue to escalate with each ill-fated interaction, but when Chaser finally snaps and pursues Speedo past his usual boundary and up a hill, determined to inflict serious harm, Speedo, will have to live up to his name in order to stay ahead of the enraged animal’s sharp horns.

The fear is palpable as Speedo finds himself running for his life because Chaser is unbelievably relentless and will stop at nothing to catch his prey.

Speedo can feel Chaser's malicious intent, and though he is aching, bleeding, and stressed, he is more determined than ever to outwit the goat in this final chase.
