The Dreaded Text: The Airport Ambush

You take a deep breath, close You ignore Celia’s frantic texts and drive to the airport early Friday morning.

 

You’re fueled by adrenaline and a desperate need to control the narrative. 


You manage to find him near the baggage claim, a familiar duffel bag over his shoulder.


 You take a huge, shuddering breath, ready to blurt out your confession before he can speak his news.


But then, you stop dead.


He’s not alone.


Standing next to him is a beautiful woman—professional, stylish, and laughing as Dre takes her luggage.


She reaches up and gently brushes a piece of lint off his suit jacket, and her touch is possessive, familiar, and devastating.


She is exactly what you feared.


Dre sees you.


His face lights up, but the woman is still holding his arm.
