An Open Letter to Creators & Podcasters

To the creators exploring validation, identity, and the stories we tell ourselves

Hi there,

If you’re hosting a podcast, writing a newsletter, or building a community centered around personal growth, modern relationships, and identity, I want to say thank you.

You are doing the heavy lifting of creating spaces where people can finally take off their masks.

Those conversations overlap closely with the work we are building here at Ashlee Unscripted.

As a creator myself, I’ve long been fascinated by one core question:

What happens when our sense of worth depends more on other people's opinions than our own?

When our confidence rises and falls based on praise, metrics, downloads, or external approval, our wellbeing gets tied to things we can't fully control.

Start with the Narrative: The Validation Detox Series

Instead of asking you to look at a product or a sales pitch, I want to invite you into a story.

We’ve recently launched The Validation Detox Series—a raw, deeply relatable short fiction series following a high-achieving young woman as she attempts to break a lifelong addiction to people-pleasing and reclaim her self-worth in 28 days.

The first piece is live on our site right now: "Validation feels like oxygen... so why is it choking me?"

Why Share This Story with Your Community?

Podcasters and content creators are always looking for deep, resonant narrative hooks that get an audience talking.

I encourage you to read this first piece and, if it strikes a chord, share it with your audience as a weekend reflection prompt, a newsletter link, or a podcast talking point.

It is completely free to read, host, and share.

Taking the Insights Deeper

If your audience reads the stories and wants a concrete, practical tool to help them take those insights into their daily lives, that is where our Validation Detox Journal comes in.

Because we are a growing independent publishing studio, we aren't able to ship out complimentary physical review copies just yet. Instead, we want to be entirely transparent.

We’ve mapped out our entire 28-day framework, complete with filled-out sample pages and implementation ideas, in a dedicated guide.

You can view the full breakdown right here on our Professional Resource Hub.

Let’s Build the Conversation

Every great resource is built through dialogue.

If these stories or this framework spark an idea for an episode, an article, or a collaborative piece, I would love to hear from you.

Thank you for creating work that encourages these vital conversations in the first place.

Warmly,

Ashlee Cox
